Antonela Mannelli, Antia Miguez and Ofelia Zagaré, students of the PhD Programme in Renewable Energies and Energy Sustainability of the USC, have taught a workshop for the construction of solar ovens and cookers in Burkina Faso. The activity, part of the internationalisation initiatives of the Doctoral Programme, has enabled women from different rural associations throughout the country to train as trainers of this type of technology. The initiative has been developed at the Chamber of Arts and Crafts of Ouagadougou and under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy of Burkina Faso.

Future editions of the same training are planned for Senegal, the Republic of Congo and Guatemala, as well as a local edition.
